What: Student Organization Faire
When: Wednesday, September 3rd @ 10:00am-2pm
Where: A booth at the 7th Street Plaza (on campus)
And Why??
- You want to support the SJSUHFES student chapter!
- Snacks and drinks will be provided!
- It is a great opportunity to use your HF&E expertise to inform prospective students about our program!
- You want to have some fun with your fellow HFE-ers!
If you are thinking about attending, we really encourage you to come and to bring your ergo and human factors-related gadgets/pamphlets - anything that is related to HF & E you think might be interesting to undergraduates at SJSU.
And…don’t forget to wear your HFES t-shirts! If you are a member, and haven’t received one yet, you will get one at the faire.
New students: bring $20 with you to sign up and become a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Student Chapter! By signing up, you will receive a t-shirt, get a full 1-year membership, and will be invited to SJSUHFES events (which often includes: free pizza, snacks, drinks, etc. etc.)

SJSU HFES is sponsoring a back-to-school BBQ August 9th from 12 to 3 pm!! Here are the details:
Location:
The Esplanade Apartments - Main Clubhouse
350 E Taylor St, San Jose, CA 95112
Food:
Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. The chapter will be providing burgers and veggie burgers.
Drinks:
BYOB - beer and wine ARE allowed. Chapter will be providing bottled water.
Cost:
Current SJSU HFES members + 1 guest: free
New HFES admits + 1 guest: free
Non-SJSU HFES members: you can sign up for SJSU HFES at the event for $20 (for the whole year!), OR we’re asking for a $5 donation per person for this event only
RSVP:
You may bring a guest. Please RSVP to me by next Wednesday, August 6th, 5 p.m. with the total number attending.
We need to have the final count so we can be sure to have enough burgers!
